Are you more tired than you should? The anaemia package helps you find out whether your iron stores and blood values are in order.

The anaemia package is a good choice if you want to know what could cause constant fatigue, low energy or paleness.

Iron deficiency and anaemia are particularly common among young women, as menstruation can consume the body’s iron stores. The results help to examine how you feel from the perspective of your iron stores and blood values.

The package allows you to easily check factors such as your basic blood count, iron stores, vitamin B12 levels and thyroid status - the most important values that affect your coping at once.

Please note that people under the age of 18 require a referral from a doctor for laboratory tests.

Studies included in the package

  • Basic blood count and blood platelets (B-PVKT): the blood count includes eight different sub-tests: white blood cells, haemoglobin, red blood cells, red blood cell volume fraction, mean red blood cell volume, average red blood cell haemoglobin concentration and blood platelets.
  • Ferritin(S-Ferrit): Ferritin indicates the body's iron stores.
  • Transferrin receptor (S-TfR): provides a more precise assessment of iron deficiency and complements the image of iron stores provided by ferritin.
  • Reticulocytes (B-Retik): indicates how actively the bone marrow produces new red blood cells.
  • Vitamin B12 (S-B12-TC2): Vitamin B12 is an essential vitamin for the nervous system and brain function.
  • Lasko (B-La): a test that may provide indication of a latent inflammation in the body.
  • Thyroid test (S-TSH): Determines thyroid gland dysfunction, such as hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism.

  • The sample should be taken between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Interpretation of research results

If you want a doctor's interpretation of your examination results, book an appointment with Aava's general practitioner in online appointment booking or by calling our customer service at 010 380 3838. Please note that the doctor's interpretation is not included in the price of the health package.

The results also enter the Aava application and the Oma Aava service.

After the examination and interpretation of the results, you will be directed to further examinations if necessary.

Miten valmistaudun testiin?

Tutustu valmistautumisohjeisiin ja saavu näytteenottoon riittävän ajoissa, jotta ehdit istua 15 minuutin ajan rauhassa. Näin verenkierto tasaantuu näytteenottoa varten. Muista ottaa kuvallinen henkilöllisyystodistus mukaan laboratoriotutkimuksiin.
